Cloud channel company Rhipe has announced the acquisition of a New Zealand-based IT services management firm Parallo for an undisclosed amount. Through this acquisition, the cloud distributor will add three new services to its umbrella of offerings which are Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Independent Software Vendor (ISV). 

Founded in 2008, Parallo is an IT services specialist that is based in Auckland, New Zealand. The firm also has offices in Melbourne and Tasmania. Parallo was co-founded by Symon Thurlow, Shaun Webber and Nicole Schaefer. Its wide range of offerings include cloud, managed, private cloud and app migration services. It also has solutions for ISVs and SaaS creators.

Rhipe said, for its ISV and SaaS partners, Azure Cloud Platform Managed Services will back getting the best out of Azure in order to remove technical noise, distractions of managing cloud and deliver innovative products. The cloud distributor will be offering its new data protection services to Commvault which it says will give them access to expert knowledge to manage their data protection environments and resolve ongoing capacity gaps. Rhipe is also introducing a high Net Promoter Score white label managed service. 

CEO of Rhipe, Dominic O’Hanlon said in a statement many of their partners are SaaS and ISV creators who wish to focus on their products while using external experts to handle their security, infrastructure and cloud optimization. Anything less and they’d be risking being overtaken in the competitive market, O’Hanlon adds. This is where Rhipe comes in, they are committed to offering their partners the best and latest IT support to help them grow, drive new opportunities, innovate and diversify their business, O’Hanlon concludes.
