US-based hybrid cloud management platform developer CloudBolt has announced the acquisition of Kumolus, an Australian cloud management platform company. The acquisition will boost CloudBolt’s cloud management platform with a set of security, cost-management and governance capabilities. The move is also designed to help the company expand its presence in the APAC region.

A 2020 Flexera report suggests that the top three challenges are governance (79%), managing cloud expenses (82%) and security (83%) [1]. Gartner 2020 IT automation predictions suggest that by 2021, more than 75% of large and mid-size companies will adopt multi-cloud or hybrid IT strategies.
