Cybersecurity solutions provider Fortinet announced the appointment of a new Operational Technology Solutions Director for the Australia and New Zealand region, Mr Andrew Sheedy. As the Director of Operational Technology (OT), Sheedy will be focusing on securing critical infrastructure systems for the ANZ customers.

Mr Andrew Sheedy: Director of OT at Fortinet 

Mr. Sheedy comes from a background in the defence force and has also built Operational Technology systems from scratch. Sheedy spent the past 3 decades in different roles that focused on establishing, managing as well as growing teams to deliver groundbreaking technical projects. 

Mr Andrew has served several Information Security roles at multiple organisations which include, Context Information Security, Speedcast Managed Services, Splunk and Security Infrastructure Solutions. For the last decade, Sheedy was the Director at Data Management Australia. He was also the MD at Glen Eldon wines for the following 12 years. 

Sheedy’s role at Fortinet will require him to help the clients in shaping a security framework that will keep their operations secure, compliant, safe and available. Beginning with a risk assessment and complete understanding of the business and security needs, Mr Andrew will translate these needs into a component architecture layer in order to build comprehensive solutions for the clients of Fortinet.
