According to the Berstein analyst Tony Sacconaghi, the delay in the launch of iPhone 8 will negatively affect the company. This might also lead to a drop in sales if the new anniversary edition does not go to the customers during the festive season. Sacconaghi explains that during the festive season people look out to buy new electronics and get their wireless sorted. So, if the new edition does not launch in time, individuals might opt for some other alternative.
KGI: Apple iPhone X could be more expensive because of Samsung
According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the OLED panel’s price is the reason for the high cost. And the sole supplier of this panel is Samsung, which offers it at $120 to $130 per unit. This is a huge amount compared to the $45 to $55 per unit price of LCD screen, which is used for iPhone 7 Plus.

The upcoming anniversary edition could be called iPhone X, instead of iPhone 8. Along with this, he also tweeted that the device might be out for pre-order on September 15, and the company might start delivering from September 22.
