She said that they are very excited about bringing this progress story to life, and they look forward to maintaining their excellent collaboration with director Per-Olav Sørensen and the crew at Yellow Bird UK.
The Banijay Group company, Yellow Bird UK, is even the production company behind the forthcoming Netflix crime series “Young Wallander.”
Yellow Bird UK will produce this latest and yet-to-be-titled Spotify show, and Per-Olav Sørensen will direct it.
Berna Levin (“Young Wallander,” “Hidden,” and “The Girl in the Spider’s Web”) will work as the executive producer.
As Netflix’s statement also notes, describing the story of a tech startup can be challenging because things move and change swiftly.
Spotify, after all, is yet about and growing.
It is possible that by the time the show goes to air, it will have encountered several more transformations.
Berna Levin, the Executive Producer at Yellow Bird, said that he is thrilled to be executing this timely and exciting series for Netflix.
Why The Story Is Fascinating
The story of how a tiny band of Swedish tech industry insiders changed music – how we listen to it and how it is created – is surely a tale for our time.
This is not just a story about the way all our lives have turned in the last decade.
It is about the struggle for cultural and financial power in a globalized, digitized world.
Netflix has not yet shared a release date for the series.
