Trimantium GrowthOps appoints former Publicis CEO Andrew Baxter to their board

Andrew Baxter, a former Publicis Worldwide CEO, has joined the board of the IT service management firm Trimantium GrowthOps as a Non-executive Director. Baxter stepped down from his position of CEO of Publicis Worldwide and Chairman of Publicis Communications across Australia and New Zealand in 20180. He was the CEO of Ogilvy Australia as well. Mr Baxter also sits on the boards of Commtract, Australian Pork, Foresters Financial the National Basketball League and Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Trimantium GrowthOps is an Australia-based IT company that offers services such as digital marketing, creative and digital strategy, advertising, leadership development, web & e-commerce, mobile app development and Internet of Things and cloud services.

About Andrew Baxter

Andrew Baxter has over 25 years of experience in the marketing and communications domain which is inclusive of multi-agency businesses. Mr Baxter is also a Marketing professor at the University of Sydney and a senior advisor at BGH Capital. In the past, he has also been a senior advisor of Customer Brand and Marketing Advisory business of KPMG. He holds a Bachelors of Business (Marketing) degree from Monash University. He is a fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Institue of Company Directors.

Under the renewed leadership of CEO Clint Cooper and Non-executive ChairmanScott Tanner, Baxter believes the company is on the right path to success. Baxter says that while some marketers and C-suite continue working with their agency partners around areas like trust and credibility, they also seek guidance around personalized customer experience, voice, AI, data, marketing technology and digital media. He says that all of these are key domain areas that GrowthOps focuses on and he is proud to a be part of the GrowthOps board. 

Scott Tanner says Baxter brings deep industry knowledge across production, digital marketing and creative services along with a remarkable track for success. Mr Tanner is confident that Mr Baxter will make significant contributions to GrowthOps as they continue to strive to reach their full potential.

Leadership Restructures in Trimantium GrowthOps

GrowthOps was established in 2017 and got listed in the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in 2018. Since its inception has faced several high-profile departures and leadership restructures. The CEO of Trimantium GrowthOps Jason Polsen stepped down 3 months into his role this year. In November 2019, the IT services company rolled out 60 redundancies across its business. Its Chief Culture Officer and Chief Technology Officer were the ones among those to depart.

After the layoffs, the company’s board was restructured in which the Founder and Executive Director Phillip Kingston transitioned to a Non-executive Director. The restructure also saw the addition of 6 new members to the board and retirement of 3 others.
