Ola has been in the news for various reasons lately, right from partnering with Zomato and Airports Authority in India to Ola riding the future of mobility in India. And, two company insiders have revealed another HR news about Ola

One of India’s largest cab-hailing mobile app, Ola has hired Harish Abhichandani and Ganesh Subramanian as its chief financial officer and vice-president of human resources respectively.

An Ola spokesperson has confirmed that former CFO Rajiv Bansal, who quit Ola in February has been replaced by Abhichandani, who was previously CFO at eKart.

Before joining Ola, Subramanian was previously the HR director for enterprise and technology solutions at Unilver for close to three years.

On condition of anonymity, an Ola employee told ET, “Ganesh (Subramanian) joined the company in July and Harish (Abhichandani) in August… they are seen at meetings. Specifically recruiting for the CFO position has taken unusually long, since quite a few interviews with promising candidates from Amazon to Microsoft, Google and startups like Practo, Flipkart have taken place.”

2017 has been a year of new hires for Ola, as it has seen a list of resignations amid senior level recruitments.

Besides Rajiv Bansal, offline initiatives operating officer Anuj Bhargava and chief marketing officer Raghuvesh Sarup also quit in February. Also, engineering head Sriram V Iyer and Senior Director of Operations Deep Singh, resigned in July.

Apart from the string of exits, the company appointed Pranav Tiwari, who is former Google executive as the Vice-President of Engineering and Sanjay Kharb, previously working as a InMobi executive, as the Vice-President of Engineering Infrastructure in February.
