The Sourced Group has unveiled its new cloud security company and product named Kivera. The company recently received fresh funding in the form of a staggering $2.5 million from existing investor, Round 13 Capital.

Sourced Group’s Kivera to Launch in Early 2021

Sourced Group’s brand new offering Kivera will enter the Sydney and Toronto market as a cloud security product. It will be capable of applying governance policies at enterprise-level operations and will span multi-cloud environments. The solution is designed to give developers the freedom to choose while selecting orchestration tools that are native or otherwise along with enhancing cyber-security capabilities. The spin-off product’s business will be helmed by co-founders of Kivera, Neil Brown and Vernon Jefferson. Currently, both heads are transitioning away from Sourced Group to take over their respective positions of Vice President of Operations and CTO respectively.

In the meantime, Jonathan Spinks will assume the role of interim CEO as the present CEO of Sourced. He will be joining the interim CFO, Wilson Lee, Jefferson as well as Round 13 on the board of directors. According to Kivera Co-Founder Neil Brown, striking a balance is complicated by the constantly rising number of cloud services and configurations. He believes that the focus should remain on innovating applications rather than navigating rigid control structures, while preserving the integrity of cloud environments and their applications.
