Former MXA Consulting partners launch tech consulting firm: Concept Six

Two former Australia-based MXA Consulting partners, Paul Dearlove and John Sidey have launched their own tech consulting firm in Australia called Concept Six. The newly-formed technology consultancy company will offer technology, business and transformation advice and will primarily focus on partnering with government organizations to encourage their change efforts.
In the coming years, Australia’s consulting market is expected to grow with the continued high demand for digitization and growth services. The Australian consulting market is valued at $US 5 billion. In 2021, the consulting industry is expected to generate about $US1.3 billion as fee at 7% CAGR (Compounded Annual Growth Rate) [1].
About Paul Dearlove and John Sidey
Paul Dearlove and John Sidey have known each other and worked together for about a decade. They worked together at EY and Booz & Company and were partners at MXA Consulting. With the turmoil that the pandemic caused across the world, the global consulting market faced ups and downs. However, the duo decided to take the plunge and launch their own technology consulting firm.
The two consultants have been talking about starting their own consulting firm for years and amidst the lockdown, they were able to determine that this was the right time to establish Concept Six.
Dearlove said with numerous organizations questing their business models right now, they thought, what better time to start a strategic consulting firm. He added that a lot has occurred at speed, especially in the government sector and as a country, Australia has learned lessons about rapid transformation and mobilization. Not just Australia, the entire world discovered that change does not have to take 18 to 24 months to happen.

About the new tech consulting firm – Concept Six
Concept Six aims to provide its clients, majorly government entities, with progressive business transformation, strategy and technology advice. According to the founders of Concept Six, the demand for consulting services in Australian public sector work is strong. Additionally, the strain from the pandemic will have healthcare systems and public services rethink ways to do more with less in the upcoming years.
In the anticipation of increasing workload in the near future, Concept Six has recently recruited its first employee, Shaeyen Mackay as an Associate. Mackay is a digital transformation expert with experience in both private and public sectors. She also worked at MXA Consulting, the same form Dearlove and Sidey worked at, as a Senior Consultant. Before this, she worked at EY for 3 years as a Senior Consultant.
