Before the launch of Apple TV+ on November 1, Apple’s Apple TV app has started to roll out to different platforms surpassing Apple’s own streaming media player, Mac computers and iOS devices.

For example, earlier this month, the app appeared on Roku devices.

Now, it is hitting the Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K.

It will be accessible to Fire TV Stick 2nd Generation and Fire TV Stick 4K consumers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain and India.

Fire TV Basic Edition consumers in more than 50 countries will too be capable of locating the new app in the Amazon Appstore on the Fire TV.

Although not still available, the app will start soon on Fire TV Cub, Fire TV, along with Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Nebula soundbar.

It is not compatible with the Fire TV (1st and 2nd Gen) or Fire TV Stick (1st Gen), mentions Amazon.

More About The App

While the app is essential for being capable to stream from Apple TV+, that is not all it does.

Within the Apple TV app, you are also able to access your iTunes library, including the shows or movies you have purchased or rented.

However, if you need to buy or rent something new, you will require to do so from an Apple device first to have the content show up in the app.

For Apple to have an app accessible on Amazon’s program at all took years of negotiations.

The following year, Amazon extended its collection of Apple inventory to incorporate other devices besides Apple TV-like iPads, iPhones, Apple Watch, and Beats headphones.

It also took its FreeTime Unlimited app to iOS, while Apple Music appeared on Echo devices.

And with Apple TV+, Apple is still more of an opponent to Amazon, which operates its streaming service, Prime Video.

Apple, however, has a smaller list for Apple TV+ with shows such as “Dickinson,” “The Morning Show,” “See,” “For All Mankind” and others.

It is unclear how great these series will work with audiences, but Apple is providing a whole year of access to its service with the acquisition of new Apple devices.

Amazon states it will announce, through Twitter, when the Apple TV app is released for other devices.
