Fun Fact: As bizarre as it may sound, Breath of the Wild managed to outsell the Switch during its launch. We still have no clue how that happened.

Super Mario Odyssey

If you have been part of Nintendo’s gaming community for a while, there is very little reason why you should not buy this game. Here are some of the words that best describe this title: fun, exciting, innovative, mesmerizing, creative, and flawless.

With a perfect blend of precision gameplay and appealing graphics, this has to be one of the must-have Nintendo Switch games.

3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

This title was initially launched on the Wii U. However, with some additional content, it is safe to say the Nintendo Switch version is much better.

Although there are no major changes in comparison to the previous versions, Mario Kart 8 is as good as it gets in terms of gameplay. It is packed with new features, playable characters, and tracks. To date, it remains one of the most played multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch.

4. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros.Ultimate is finally available on the Nintendo Switch, and so far, so good. It features the broadest lineup of characters and a lot of avid gamers have suggested that it is the best ever single-player “campaign” mode out of all the Smash Bros iterations till date.

And when we are talking about the must-have Nintendo Switch games, it is blasphemous to not choose this title.

5. New Pokemon Snap

New Pokemon Snap can be deemed as one of the most chill games since the release of Animal Crossing. If you are looking for a similar game, you should consider adding this game to your shopping list.

The community was patiently waiting for a new Pokemon Snap, and prima facie, it has lived up to the hype.

6. Fez

Fez was released on the Xbox 360 less than a decade ago in 2012. Coming to think of it, it is an impressive feat. The game’s popularity has not faded since its launch and that is a testament to its quality. It was ported to the Nintendo Switch in 2021 and we are not at all complaining.

This also indicates the power of the Nintendo Switch as a gaming console. Indie games such as Fez are super convenient to play on smaller screens and also well suited for smaller displays.

For whatsoever reason, if you have not played Fez yet, what are you waiting for? It tickles your mind while offering one of the best in-game dramatics. It can easily be classified as the best game of the past decade.

7. Among Us

We are not very sure if this game was a huge success before the pandemic struck the world. The game caught on like wildfire around September last year. A lot of TikTok influencers and YouTube stars such as Dr.Lupo, James Charles, and PewDiePie have streamed this game for millions of people.

Although the Nintendo Switch may not be the go-to device to play this game, it is the best for kids as they cannot read toxic and abusive chats players hurl at one another.

8. Doom

Doom is a classic and we all love this game. It is still a hot-seller and one of the must-have Nintendo Switch games in 2021. Although one could argue that the game is a bit compromised on the Switch in comparison to PS4 or the Xbox One, it still manages to raise your excitement level.

Is it a good time to spend money on the Nintendo Switch?

There could not be a better time to buy the Nintendo Switch. One major reason to pick it up is the Switch OLED. It gives you the choice between a couple of Nintendo switch units and the Nintendo Switch Lite.

Another reason to get the Switch is the relatively lower costs in comparison to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Lastly, the Nintendo Switch has rich, diverse, and the most exciting gaming libraries out of all the consoles in the market.
